Here are some questions that are frequently asked during our nominations/voting period. Please check here before sending an email to the admins of our contest. If your question is not answered, you can email us, or post your question below!

Why does my nomination not show up?
     •When you enter a nomination, admins must approve the nomination-- we check for eligibility (business location), accuracy of the spelling/business name, and that the business/person nominated was put into the correct category. If you or your business is nominated multiple times, each nomination will count as a vote-- even if the nomination hasn't been approved yet! ✳️Keep in mind that if your business was not deemed eligible for a nomination in that category, we will reject the nomination.

 

How long does it take you to get the entries approved? I want to vote NOW! 
   •Moderation by the administrators will happen at minimum 3 times per day, but we do have other responsibilities. Don't worry though, your nominations all count as votes and are tallied even if your business isn't showing up yet!

 

I (or my business) was nominated, but the name is spelled wrong. How do I fix this? 
      •Type in your name or your business name correctly as a new nomination. When admins moderate the entries, we will check for accuracy and combine the two entries so that you don't lose any votes!

 

Do you accept paper ballots? 

       •No-- the only way to vote is via our website.

►I was nominated under the wrong category. Can this be fixed? 
      •Yes! When admins moderate the entries, we will check for accuracy and remove you from incorrect categories. 

    **HOWEVER, votes WILL NOT be moved from one category to another, so please make sure your customers are nominating you under the correct categories!

 

Can I post on Facebook that I am nominated and ask for people to vote for me? 
     •Yes! By all means! Make signs and put in your office, text your friends, email past clients!

 

How many times can I vote?
       •You can vote every day, but only once per day per email. (Yes, this means you can use multiple email addresses.)

 

When will I know if I won? 
      •Winners are notified starting the week after voting ends. ONLY winners are notified.

 

►I don't see a category for my business. Can it be added? 
    •We can add categories during the contest. It is at the discretion of the contest administrators. Several factors are considered including: the amount of time left in the contest, the number of businesses in that category, and location, along with other factors.
